My client sent me some documents that I need to edit. Problem is, I’m running Microsoft Windows 10 and they’re on a Mac OS X system. The files are in “Pages” format. Nov 17, 2017  Anyway, for anyone who is having the same issue, I was searching for this same issue (reading files in a Mac formatted drive from Windows 10) and found HFSExplorer. Have not tried it yet, but description says it can read only (the files in you Mac formatted external hard drive). Connect your USB drive and, if appropriate, use the power switch to turn it on. HFSExplorer works with drives formatted with HFS, HFS+ and HFSX. HSFX is Mac OS Extended with case-sensitive file names. How to create a shortcut for a website. Price: $50, 5-day free trial (trial appears to no longer work) MacDrive is another fairly popular option here. It’s a paid application and is both more expensive and has a shorter free trial than Paragon HFS+. Like Paragon HFS+, MacDrive offers full read/write access via Windows File Explorer fast performance. It also offers disk repair and partitioning tools for working with and creating Mac file systems. These are additional features, but you probably won’t need them. This tool is a bit pricier than Paragon HFS+, so you’ll likely want to stick with Paragon HFS+ if you want a paid application.

Yes, Paragon Software has recently released free HFS+ driver for Windows 10/8.1 to help users easily copy and move files to Mac’s partition from Windows 10/8.1. The good thing is that you can add HFS+ full support to Windows 10/8.1 by simply installing this HFS+ driver and don’t need to configure at all. Visit the download link mentioned at the end of this article, download HFS+ driver for Windows 8/8.1, and then install the same.

When you’re done, the drive should work on both Windows PCs and Macs with no problem. By the way, this works great for Windows users too–Macs can’t natively, although they can read files from NTFS drives. So no matter what your primary platform, exFAT is probably the way to go.

MacDisk Version 8.0 MacDisk is a 32-bit program. The latest version for Windows 2000 and higher adds many new functions: it now supports all CD-ROM drives (SCSI, USB, IDE/ATAPI), all kinds of CD-ROMs (HFS, HFS+, hybrid, even multi-session ones). The 32-bit version is much faster than former ones. For an example, a 80-MB file is copied from the CD-ROM drive to the hard disk in less than a minute!

You’ll be able to specify what format the download should be: You can download it in Pages format but that doesn’t make much sense! Instead choose “ Word” to have it automatically converted from Apple Pages format to Microsoft Word format. It downloads the new version of the document and you’re ready to go: A bit tedious, and a lot of steps, but once you’re signed up for an iCloud account and know that you need to upload the Pages document so you can then download it in Word format, pretty darn quick and easy!
